Positive Psychology - Clinical Applications and Interventions for Mental Health Professionals

Learn about the theory and research from the field of Positive Psychology and practical applications of evidence-based interventions from the Science of Happiness, that you can use with clients to help increase positive emotions, resilience and optimism. This workshop will include experiential hands-on activities using some of the practices, group sharing and discussion, examples of work with clients, and ways to develop individualized and creative applications to help you anchor the learning. Prior to the class you will be asked to take an online survey of your strengths, which you will use during the workshop. Resources will be drawn from the work of Martin Seligman, Sonja Lyubomirsky, Barbara Frederickson and others.
